Jim Abbott book signing

 Former Angels pitcher Jim Abbott will be doing a book signing at Barnes & Noble on April 14.  Abbott's book called "Imperfect", recalls his struggles growing up with his birth defect. I have read an excerpt, and plan to buy this book if even if I don't go to this signing. It is that good.
 If you do go to this book signing, expect them to be strict. As of right now they will allow one outside memorabilia item with a "in store" book purchase. I called and was told to call back on the April 12, to see if they have change that policy. Good luck and here is the information-

2012 Los Angeles Sports Card & Memorabilia Show

 Diamond Star Sports Cards will be hosting a show on April 20-22. The admission is free for all three days. They plan to have Angels Greats Chuck Finley and Bobby Grich. Their autograph will go for $15 each on balls and flats. Anything larger will be additional.  Here goes more info and times-

Fan Fest 2012

 Angels Fan Fest 2012 will be on Sunday, April 22- 7am - 1pm. It may be the same set up like last year. The only thing different is this ticket is for Fan Fest only. Previously it included a game. So if you plan to stay you need to buy a ticket to watch the game. As for autographs, it will be any ones guess who will sign. It seems like they grab any player. Cart them in to sign quick and send them back to practice. Angels stadium is strict with their lines. They will cut off lines, after a certain number of people. With patience you can get alot of autographs.
 They plan to have live music and activities. And a photo opp. with the famous Rally Money. The tickets are $6.50 and are on sale right now. I hope this information will help on planning your day at Fan Fest. If you have any question feel free to ask. Thanks.

Post Game Concert

 Announced today is that the Go Go Dolls will perform a Post Game Concert this year.  The date is to be announced. This band has had some songs that have top the charts. The song "Iris", was the featured song on the movie "City of Angels"(1998).
 I do hope the have a good lineup like last year. Here is a sample of one of their hit song-

2012 Baseball Expo & Sports Memorabilia Road Show

  This event will be held on April 6-7, 2012. At the Anahiem Marriott Hotel. They have scheduled Rex Hudler, Bobby Grich, Scott Spezio, Ken Forsch to sign autographs. More players to be announced. They will also have baseball skill clinics at scheduled times. PSA will also be on hand to do authentication. General admission is $10 and children under 12 are free. Here goes more information-

 I attended the Chuck Finely appearance at Living Spaces in Irvine. I arrived at 6:30 in the morning to get a good spot in line. There was a descent amount of people that showed up. Finely arrived on time and promptly started to sign autographs. He also had a stack of his own 8x10's, that were of good quality. I got my items signed but forgot to ask for his 8x10. So i went back in line, as many did. Chuck Finely kindly struck a conversation with everyone in line. And took pictures with anyone that asked.
 In all this event was a fun. Living Spaces had it organized. I can not wait till they host another meet and greet.
