Second Chance for SGA (staduim giveaways)

 There will be a second chance to get a bobblehead this year. The 66ers a single "A" minor league team for the Angels, will be giving away some of the same items as big brother. On April 17 the Angels will be giving away an Albert Pujols bobblehead. If you cant make that, on May 12 the 66ers will be giving away the same bobblehead. 
  I like to support the local minor league teams. They have good giveaways and on some nights, good food specials. The chance to get autographs from future players is not hard. I almost had a chance to get Tyler Chatwood and Mike Trout but didn't have anything to sign. You may never know who will make it big in the majors. They all start the same way from single "A" till triple "A".
  I will post up the giveaways when the date is close, for both the Angels and 66ers.

Recap of the Joyner and Percival appearance

 I made a road trip to Big League Dreams in Perris, California with my family. Since it was a grand opening, there was a good turnout. Every field had a game going on. 
 My son had a great time. They had two big playgrounds and set up games for kids. A clown showed up later to do face painting. They gave out mini bats, hot dogs and ice cream to everyone.
 At the ribbon cutting ceremony, I got the chance for autographs. I was glad to get them because Percival and Joyner had to leave early. Jason and Jeremy Giambi made an appearance along with Dodger Alumni (I was not to familiar of who they were). The Giambi brothers sat down and signed autographs.
 In all this was a fun event. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. I hope this year there will be good events to attend. Thanks to Big League Dreams for hosting this event.

 This event is to help start the Grand Opening of the park. The ceremony will start a 3-6. I did call to confirm that Troy Percival and Wally Joyner will be there. Also Jeremy Giambi  ( Jason's brother) and the L.A. Galaxy street team will make an appearance. There will  be food and activities. Sounds like a lot of fun.

 I had a change of plans, and made it to the Wilson/ Pujlos press conference. There was a huge turnout. Current Angels were on hand, (Dan Haren, Jered Weaver, Torii Hunter) to welcome their new teammates.  The press conference went well but the same questions were asked to Pujlos. On why he left St. Louis. There were very few questions toward Wilson. It seemed it did not bother him. The press conference was some what brief but straight to the point.
 After I was lucky to get Albert Pujlos autograph. It was not easy, I was crushed by the crowd. He only did a few autographs and moved on to another interview. C.J. Wilson signed a little bit more, but I was not lucky. Weaver and Hunter also signed a couple of autographs. You had to be at the right place at the right time.
 I appreciate all the compliments I received about this blog. I hope next year I have more information to share.
