 I had a change of plans, and made it to the Wilson/ Pujlos press conference. There was a huge turnout. Current Angels were on hand, (Dan Haren, Jered Weaver, Torii Hunter) to welcome their new teammates.  The press conference went well but the same questions were asked to Pujlos. On why he left St. Louis. There were very few questions toward Wilson. It seemed it did not bother him. The press conference was some what brief but straight to the point.
 After I was lucky to get Albert Pujlos autograph. It was not easy, I was crushed by the crowd. He only did a few autographs and moved on to another interview. C.J. Wilson signed a little bit more, but I was not lucky. Weaver and Hunter also signed a couple of autographs. You had to be at the right place at the right time.
 I appreciate all the compliments I received about this blog. I hope next year I have more information to share.

Congratulations Tim Salmon on making the 2012 Hall of Fame ballot. I good to see an Angel being nominated on this top honor. Good luck. 

Go on the Angels Field for charity

 Angels groundskeepers are hosting their 11th annual Thanksgiving Holiday Canned Food Drive at Angels Stadium. Donations of  three canned food items or $2 will give you a chance to swing against a pitching machine. Or if pitching is your thing bring two canned food items or $1, will let you pitch in the bullpen. You can catch fly balls for $25 for 15 minutes. They will provide ball, bats and helmets.

  This event is set to start on Friday, November 18, 19, 20th, from 8am-4pm. This will benefit  the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. This will be a fun event to attend. Thanks and have a safe holiday.

Angels wife- Tami Butcher book signing

 Angels Pitching Coach Mike Butcher's wife Tami will be signing copies of her book My Bonus Mom: Taking the Step out of Stepmom at two locations. First at Barnes & Noble at the Main Place in Orange from 12-2pm. Then Mrs. Butcher along with comedian Bill Engvall will be at Angels Stadium in front of the Diamond Club from 4pm till the 2nd inning.  Leeann Tweeden made an appearance at Active Ride Shop in San Dimas for Heroes and Patriots Toy Drive. I didn't have a toy but made a cash donation for a great cause. She is the nicest person you will ever meet. We took pictures and she even took our picture with her personal phone. What made my day was that she heard of this blog. Tweeden said  someone came in and got the info from  Think Red Instead!!! It really meant a lot that someone in the Angels organization knows of this blog. And with the support of people who follow, read and mention this blog. Thanks again.

 New Angel Insider Leeann Tweeden is apart of Heroes and Patriots. They are having a toy drive with Active Ride Shop. This is for a good cause to give toys for military families. For some children don't get gifts for the holidays as for their parent(s) are serving for our country. This will go on from  Sept. 3 to December 1st. Tweeden will be making a guest appearance at some Active shops. The times and dates are listed below.  Bring an unwrapped gift of $20.00 or more to Active Ride Shop and receive 2 free Angels Baseball tickets and a gift voucher for Active Ride Shop. Weaver stays with the Angels

 All Star and fan favorite Jered Weaver signed a 5 year $85 million dollar contract. The Angels did a great move to keep him.  Congrats Weaver. Keep up the good work.

Santana/Carew/Salmon signing recap

 Thanks to Efrin for the pictures of the line at OC Dugout. He said there were a huge turnout for Santana. Tim Salmon also had a good turnout than Carew. There was up to 200 people in attendance. The line was well organized. The OC Dugout hosted a great event. There next signing is Bert Bvlyleven on September 3.  Check my older post on more info for that signing. Thanks for your support.

Great turnout for Hudler

   I went to Angel Stadium for the gnome bobblehead. I was able to pass by the Rex Hudler signing. It was behind the rocks by the Coors Light bar. Hudler got up many times to hype the crowd. Which made everyone happy.  I did not make it in time to get his autograph. The stadium are well organized. When they cut a line, no chance. I only to take pictures to share with everyone. Thanks for looking.
